A Small Startup with a BIG Idea!

Our Story

Hyper-Chute Systems, LLC is a small, climate concerned startup taking on a grand challenge. During these unprecedented times, we need all the clean, renewable energy we can get. It is well published that the vital energy we need escapes us daily in the form of low-speed water flows, both in-stream and tidal. When we looked into it, we learned the benefits as well as the limitations of turbines and lift. Then, while in the 5 MPH zone of the Berkeley Marina in California, we dropped a small 1-gallon bucket, attached to a rope, overboard. It created an intense amount of drag. We thought that if it were bigger, it would have been impossible to hold on to. and sparked the idea of converting drag into clean energy! Now that we can demonstrate that the theory is possible, our mission is to prepare our discovery for wide spread adoption to maximize social and environmental benefits. HCS is looking for partners to join and support our mission.
